Step-by-Step Guide to File Non-Core Amendment
1Login to GST Portal
Visit www.gst.gov.in and login:
- Enter your GSTIN/UIN
- Enter Username and Password
- Complete Captcha
- Click LOGIN
2Navigate to Amendment Section
- Go to Services > Registration > Amendment of Registration Non-Core Fields
- Or: Dashboard > My Profile > Amendment of Registration (Non-Core Fields)
This opens Form GST REG-14 for non-core amendments.
3Review Current Registration Details
The system displays your existing registration information across different tabs:
- Business Details
- Promoter/Partners
- Authorized Signatory
- Principal Place of Business
- Additional Places of Business
- Goods and Services
- Bank Account Details
Review and identify which fields need updating.
4Update Business Address (If Needed)
To change principal place of business address:
- Go to Principal Place of Business tab
- Click EDIT icon
- Update address fields:
- Building No/Flat No
- Floor No
- Name of Premises/Building
- Road/Street
- Locality/Area
- City/Town/Village
- District (cannot change - if different district needed, it's interstate relocation requiring new registration)
- PIN Code
- Update Nature of Possession if changed (Owned/Rented/Leased)
- Upload new Address Proof document
- Click SAVE
5Add/Update Bank Account
To add new bank account or update existing:
- Go to Bank Account Details tab
- To add new account, click ADD
- Enter:
- Account Number
- IFSC Code (system auto-fills bank name and branch)
- Account Type - Current, Savings, Cash Credit, OD
- Upload Cancelled Cheque or Bank Statement
- To remove old account, click DELETE icon next to it
- Click SAVE
6Update Contact Details
To change email or mobile number:
- Go to Business Details section
- Click EDIT
- Update:
- Email Address - Primary email (used for all GST communications)
- Additional Email - Secondary email for notifications
- Mobile Number - Primary mobile (used for OTPs)
- Additional Mobile - Secondary contact number
- Telephone Number - Landline with STD code
- Click SAVE
7Add/Remove Authorized Signatory
To update authorized signatories:
- Go to Authorized Signatory tab
- To add new signatory:
- Click ADD
- Enter Name, PAN, Email, Mobile
- Upload Photograph
- Verify Aadhaar by clicking VERIFY (OTP sent to Aadhaar-linked mobile)
- Upload authorization letter (if person is not promoter/partner/director)
- Click SAVE
- To remove existing signatory:
- Click DELETE icon next to their name
- Confirm deletion
8Add Additional Place of Business
To add branch, warehouse, or additional location:
- Go to Additional Place of Business tab
- Click ADD
- Select Nature of Additional Place:
- Office
- Warehouse/Depot
- Godown
- Others
- Enter complete address (same format as principal place)
- Select Nature of Possession (Owned/Rented/Leased)
- Upload Address Proof
- Click SAVE
To remove additional place, click DELETE icon next to it.
9Update Goods and Services (HSN/SAC)
To add new products/services or update HSN/SAC codes:
- Go to Goods and Services tab
- Click EDIT
- Add up to 5 HSN codes for goods
- Add up to 5 SAC codes for services
- Update Description of Business Activities if needed
- Click SAVE
10Add/Remove Partners (For Partnerships)
To update partner details in partnership firms:
- Go to Promoter/Partners tab
- To add new partner:
- Click ADD
- Enter Name, PAN, DIN/DPIN (if applicable)
- Enter Email, Mobile, Residential Address
- Upload Photograph and PAN copy
- Click SAVE
- To remove partner:
- Click DELETE icon next to partner name
- Confirm deletion
11Review All Changes
Before submitting:
- Navigate through all tabs
- Verify all updated information is correct
- Ensure documents are uploaded properly
- Check for any typos or errors
12Submit Amendment
- After reviewing, click PROCEED TO VERIFICATION
- Read the Declaration
- Check the declaration checkbox
- Enter Place of submission
- Select Authorized Signatory name from dropdown
- Choose verification method:
- E-Sign (Aadhaar) - Quick and easy
- DSC (Digital Signature) - For companies
- Click SUBMIT WITH E-SIGN or SUBMIT WITH DSC
For E-Sign:
- OTP sent to Aadhaar-linked mobile
- Enter OTP
- Click SUBMIT
13Download Updated Certificate
Get your updated GST certificate:
- Go to Services > User Services > View/Download Certificate
- Your GST Registration Certificate will show updated details
- Download and save PDF for your records
- GSTIN remains exactly the same
